Meetings, announcements and polls
Choose the right tool for a discussion, a message or a team vote.
Use the tool that matches the outcome you need:

Prepare a clear message
Section titled “Prepare a clear message”Explain what changes, who is concerned and what action is expected. State a timezone for any schedule shared across countries. Long, reusable procedures belong in the wiki; link them from a short announcement.
Check the audience and result
Section titled “Check the audience and result”Creation permissions differ between the tools. An internal panel role is separate from a Discord channel’s audience. Check the target channel and any DM selection before publishing.
A saved record does not mean every Discord notification arrived, and delivery does not prove someone read it. Inspect the delivery results where available. An uncertain send may already have arrived; check before resending.
After a meeting, turn an actionable decision into a task with an assignee and deadline. A poll can inform that discussion, but the manager should explain whether it decides the outcome or simply gathers views.
